Modern River Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect place to slow down and relax. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and has a great layout for spending time together. The big windows overlooking the woods and river made mornings with coffee and evenings relaxing inside feel extra special.One of the unexpected highlights was the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway passing right by the property each day, it really added to the charm and made the stay feel uniquely Blue Ridge.The hot tub was one of our favorite features after a day of exploring, and everything in the home was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully equipped. We had an amazing stay at this mountain retreat! The location was peaceful, scenic, private and perfect for unwinding. The house itself was comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing trip. Jenny was a wonderful host responsive, and made check-in a breeze.The town of Blue Ridge had restaurants, shopping, and activities. Highlights for us: the hot tub, and beautiful view was relaxing.We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing mountain getaway!

We loved our stay at this beautiful Blue Ridge home! It was very clean, spacious, with comfy beds! The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. Our favorite spot was the large deck, where we enjoyed meals, played games and relaxed in the peaceful surroundings. We would definitely stay there again. The communication was excellent from booking to check out!

This was the perfect getaway cabin! The space was clean and the entire place exceeded our expectations- the outside seating was especially comfortable, and it had a great view. Quiet neighborhood and very safe. We will be back! Thank you!!

We stayed for five nights for a family trip in March '26 to explore Blue Ridge and Northern GA area. House was exactly like the photos and very well kept. We enjoyed the quiet, private neighborhood off the beaten path although a very short drive to town and main roads to explore. Experienced both snow flurries and high 70's so appreciated the fire places and great openness of the house and patio on the warmer days. Fun to have the train tracks down by the river as well as the access road to check out the river also. We would look to stay here again on a return trip to the area!

This place could not have been more perfect. Everything from the common areas, kitchen, bath, bedrooms, hot tub, game area--- everything was amazing ! Also, it was an easy drive to town for shopping and good food. We will be back!!! 5 stars hands down. ❤️

Everything was nice the rooms are neat and spacious. The outdoor setup is amazing nice views and fireplace to keep you warm during those cold months

We loved the stay here! Great location. Privacy. Cozy home. I love how the pictures and descriptions matched the reality of the property. The basement TV in the room area wasnt functional as desired. Tv apps Needed to updated and Wifi was spotty. But managed to make it work all in all. The fireplace kept going out but once maintenance came he fixed the issue. (The pilot pipe was clogged) The gate was locked upon arrival with no code to get in. Had to call customer support to get access to get passed the gates.

We had the most amazing stay at Modern River Retreat! The home is beautifully decorated, and the hosts have thought of everything to insure their guests have a wonderful stay! The beds are sooo comfortable! The kitchen is well stocked with all the items you need to prep meals and serve your family for the times you choose to eat in. There is a beautiful view of the river and the train track from the large, gorgeous back deck, which is a perfect space for grilling, catching a ball game on the outdoor TV, or drinking your morning coffee. And the town of Blue Ridge is a short drive when you choose to eat at one of the amazing restaurants. Rent Modern River Retreat as soon as you can!

Loved this place!! Only gripe was it wasn’t right on the river as we were expecting by the title. Other than that we would definitely stay here again!

Great stay! Very close to all areas of interest, plenty of beautiful outdoor living spaces. Kitchen was well laid out. The touring train went by a couple of times a day which the kids got a kick out of! (Did not disrupt sleep as it doesn’t run at night). Have already recommended to others.

Location nice asset 2 get 2 cabin was a certain position of the road need work done on it paved are gravel big holes n road it's not long just alittle hill.But we had 2 rent a towe truck just 2 get over that section of the road after that all was find no problem after that Just the bad road Cabin was awesome my girlfriend an i love it gorgeous place plenty of room

This place was absolutely gorgeous! It was so peaceful and quiet in the neighborhood. It has a metal roof and the rain sounded wonderful in the afternoon. The porch is spacious and comfortable outside, even during rainstorms. It was super, super clean- every surface was completely spotless. The town is only about 10 minutes away with lots of shopping and interesting restaurants. The fishing, hiking, and outdoor activities are fantastic. There was plenty of things to keep the kids outdoors and occupied. We didn’t want to leave and come back to the real world but we can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful home! It was clean, modern, and so many places to relax and spend time with our family. The kitchen was well stocked for us to cook meals and the hot tub was perfect to unwind.

When I say this Airbnb is breathtaking, I mean it. The area and atmosphere are out of this world gorgeous. I can honestly say that this is, by far, the best Airbnb I’ve rented. Everything was smooth from the time we checked in until the time we checked out. Waking up to the sound of nature and sunshine was top notch. Even when it rained, the sound and view was amazing. This cabin definitely did not disappoint. Most of all, the house was clean and properly equipped. Thankful for the amazing experience.

Beautiful cabin! We LOVED staying there! A few minor hick ups at the check in and check out... fixed within 15-20 mins; besides this it was PERFECT!

This stay was great for my group of 5. It was clean, spacious and had all of the amenities listed. Would definitely recommend! *note: I recommend driving around in the day time. The roads are windy and they aren’t well lit.

We had a wonderful girls trip to Blue Ridge. The cabin was truly lovely and very accommodating in all aspects for all of us. Cleanliness is a very important factor to me and the cabin was spotless. We so look forward to spending a weekend in the Spring or Summer. Thank you.

This cabin was top tier! This is the best cabin I’ve stayed in. There was so much to do inside with a family of 6 including 2 children (2 & 6 years old). Definitely 10/10 would recommend

This cabin was gorgeous and spacious! We enjoyed our time here and would definitely consider renting again as long as we had a code to switch the thermostat from heating to cooling. The cabin was a little warm during the day and we didn’t have the option to use the air conditioner. I sent a message and the rental company was very responsive. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the code either. They did reach out to the owner, and they were supposed to switch the unit from heating to cooling, but that didn’t happen. Thankfully the weather was cool enough that we just opened up the windows. Other than that, it was great!

By far our best airbnb experience. We booked this home for a couples weekend and it did not disappoint. The home was exactly as described, the thoughtfulness that went into making this a home away from home was properly executed. From the kitchen equipped with everything you would need to make a delicious meal, along with Tupperware for leftovers. We enjoyed every aspect of this beautiful home and have started making plans for our next visit.

Overall, such wonderful cabin. Many positives about our stay - the cabin is a close drive to downtown Blue Ridge. It is very well equipped and so beautiful and clean. Beds were decently comfortable and house and community have nice amenities. A few negatives to mention- Keep in mind checkin can be as late as 6 pm. Response time from host slower than other airbnbs we have stayed at. They also sent over a maintenance worker for a screen door that was down and did not notify me prior. They admitted miscommunication but always better to be clear with what your guests should expect. Overall, we really enjoyed the coziness, all the amenities and beauty of this cabin. We’d definitely stay again!

Great location and cabin. Well stocked with amenities. Only drawback was the lack of tv unless you subscribe to a streaming service & happen to know your login passwords. Would have been nice to know that upfront but we didn’t go there to watch tv. We were happy watching nature.

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous!!! Very spacious and clean. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Loved the back deck because it had a seating area with a TV and dining table. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a fantastic time. It was a beautiful location, clean, had everything we needed, and the owners were kind and helpful. It was close to everything. The hardest part is getting up the hill to the house. You need four wheel drive. It’s rough in the rain. Otherwise, perfect!

This modern retreat was amazing! from the kitchen to the bathrooms the floors and DOORS! my favorite is the living room patio door opened completely allowing the fresh outside air and sun to radiate through the house!!! the beds were comfortable and spacious. Beautiful home. Communication with the host has been the worst experience I’ve ever had. I hate to leave this type of review but it really matters when deciding for me so I wanted to give the same feedback. Peaceful home, plenty of room, remote location perfect for the private getaway.

Great location. Close to Blue Ridge which has great restaurants and plenty of shopping. The cabin was beautiful and a wonderful place to get some R&R. Hats off to Georgia CFY for creating such fantastic place to stay.

We had the most amazing stay, the best place to have rung in the new year! The cabin is even prettier in person and the layout has such a great flow. It has a beautiful view of the creek and you can even see the train passing by below! The day we arrived it was snowing and there were several smaller vehicles on the road to get there that had to wait out the storm, so I would recommend AWD cars if going in the colder months (although the terrain was just right for us Miamians). The cabin had plenty of games, books, and puzzles to keep us entertained for our stay and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessities. The location was great, super quick drive to Walmart for groceries and to the main area of Blue Ridge. We would ABSOLUTELY stay here again!

The cabin is a lovely new-build with modern features and amenities such as stainless steel appliances with a 5-burner gas stove, high vaulted ceilings, modern farmhouse furnishings, bifold patio doors, and a great deck for outdoor entertainment or relaxation complete with a fireplace and flat screen tv. The 3 bedrooms are comfortable and the checkin process was easy. We couldn't get the gas fireplaces started, couldn't locate the Wifi password and didn't see any instructions in the welcome binder. However, I called and emailed customer support and they were able to assist me. I'd suggest providing this kind of information in the welcome binder for future guests.

Cabin was clean, and closed to downtown Blue Ridge. Beds are hard, so if you have a bad back its not for you.

This property was superb in every way associated with house, view, location etc. BUT the roads accessing the house are horribly rutted and muddy due to recent rains. It was a difficult drive every time we left the house. We feel that the property management company should have given us a heads-up as they are in the area and know about heavy rains. This house would have gotten a 5 star plus plus had it not been for the awful drive in and out. We will return but only if we receive assurances about road maintenance in inclement weather.

We recently took a couples trip to Blue Ridge and lodged at Modern River Retreat. It was the most perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend. Friends, food, and fun was on the agenda all weekend, and the home made it possible for us to experience that in a comfortable and well-appointed atmosphere. What you see online is definitely what you get. The company is very professional and responsive as well. We will certainly be returning!
