Knotty Creek Retreat

We took a family road trip for the first time to the Blue Ridge Mountains, and I had a hard time deciding between a mountain view or a cabin on a creek. I am so happy with our decision to stay by the creek, the yard is huge and allowed our kids to run around, and the dock on the creek was perfect for morning coffee and afternoon reading. The house was perfectly cleaned, and had everything we needed. The neighbors are permanent residents, and were so sweet and helpful. The only down fall was a very hazardous drive way. We have a lifted truck, and had a hard time getting up the steep, washed out, dirt drive every time. When we tried to get closer to the side to miss the huge holes we scratched our truck on the branches. It was a disaster, and I do not believe a regular sedan would be able to handle it. On a positive note, the super helpful neighbor said the road will be paved Aug 8-10, and after that it should be perfect! But definitely a heads up for anyone traveling to the cabin before. Other than that the cabin is wonderful!

The cabin is in the perfect spot, just intimate enough for my husband & I. We had loads of fun at the creek and we’re able to catch horn heads, bluegill, and a pretty large trout. We spent time in Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Both of which were very accessible to our locationz

Right on river, cute cabin… you may need a pick up truck to access but I noticed some SUV’s on property. You will notice other cabins around but everyone real nice.

The location, cabin and scenery were just what we were looking for to relax! The neighbors puppies were an added bonus and the sweetest!

Smaller than the pictures represent but sufficient for a small group. We had everything we needed. The view was nice. Peaceful location. I would recommend bringing an electric blanket or space heater if you are cold-natured like myself. The bathroom was the warmest place in the cabin. I would definitely return in warmer weather.

My girlfriend and I visited this cabin over a weekend to celebrate her birthday. Let me say, the cabin itself is exactly as the pictures show. It was perfectly clean, very spacious and cozy, and full of amenities. The kitchen was full of utensils, cookware, appliances, and pretty much anything you would ever need. There were plenty of towels that were useful for both bathing and the use of the hot tub. There were tons of blankets available, which was nice for the wintertime. It took the cabin a while to warm up as the heat setting was 60 degrees when we arrived at 10:30 at night. By the next morning, the cabin was nice and warm and remained that way. Overall, our experience was absolutely perfect. I would definitely recommend it to a friend and hope to stay here again.

Awesome little place tucked away in the countryside but still 15 minutes from Blue Ridge. We enjoyed our stay and got to sit inside by a cozy fire and watch it snow.

We chose this cabin to stay with our 3 young children. The property is beautiful. Our kids loved the big yard to play in and the dock to enjoy the creek. When we first walked in, there was a Christmas tree lit up and it was so magical. The stairs were a little scary for kids but the host was kind enough to have a baby gate handy that set aside all my fears. The layout of the cabin is so cozy and we loved lounging in the living room. The counter and dining area are very spacious with a lot of seating and everything you need to cook. There was a lot to do around town with the kids, but we got surprise snow the second day and we spent a lot of our time playing in it instead of venturing out! It is even more beautiful when everything is covered in snow. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon.

This cabin was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the hot tub right on the creek, the fire pit, the grill, and the hardwood floors upstairs and the deck were really a mountain getaway feel for a relaxing vacation, and hearing the creek at night was really neat. We may just have to rent this cabin again in a year. The cabin was super clean. I loved 3 days after Christmas and us showing up with the adorable Christmas tree still standing.

This cozy cabin is just as described on the website. We found it to have absolutely everything we needed for a four-day getaway, abounding in beauty and solitude all around. The location is perfect for being lost in nature but close enough to visit many nearby small towns.

Kids had a blast

We had the best time! It was refreshingly clean from top to bottom. Best of both worlds….the inside is so cozy and the outside offers plenty of fun. We will definitely be back.

The cabin was great. Clean, great size for small family or girl’s trip. Loved hearing the creek from the house. We saw a good bit of wildlife (deer, turkey, squirrels). Bring bug spray with you. The cabin was a little off-road and a good distance from the town, so if you like that kind of thing, that’s great. Super quiet and secluded. All in all, we’d come back. Thanks for the great stay!!

A well-described hidden treasure in the mountains. Clean. Roomy. Updated. Great communication. Loved that creek!!! Great bedding. House has all the essentials. The area is easy to navigate.

Great location! The yard was large and flat, perfect for playing outdoor activities. The creek is very peaceful and easily accessible if you feel like a swim. The kitchen was well stocked and the cabin was clean.

If you want R&R this is the place. Close to everything yet secluded. Felt we didn’t have to cook every day and we went to town. We did cook and all the appliances were in good condition…

The property was immaculate. We had an absolutely amazing time. I highly recommend tubing in the summer. We had zero issues with the property or the stay. It was a perfect getaway.

Knotty Creek is a sweet, cozy cottage far from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the world! Our family enjoyed our time there fishing, playing family games, cooking, zip lining, and relaxing. The cabin is clean and has everything you need!

What a wonderful little cabin! The small space was perfect for my wife and 2 small children. Er enjoyed the fire, snow, and hot tub. We ventured into town a little but mostly just enjoyed the cabin itself. What a wonderful weekend getaway.

The cabin was a cozy place to stay…loved the rustic wood on the inside… would stay there again! A great place to get away for a few days and relax.

Definitely a place for minimalists. Basics there. Clean and neat. Not too far from the town of Blue Ridge with nice restaurants.

We absolutely loved our stay at Knotty Creek. Our small family of 4 (infant and pre-schooler) felt welcome and cozy in the cabin. My oldest daughter caught her first fish outside and my 5-month-old son took a nap every chance he got! We made s’mores and grilled out, and mom and dad enjoyed the hot tub once the kiddos were asleep. Absolutely perfect getaway!

This cabin was the perfect size for our family; 2 adults and one child. Some might think no cell service is bad, but it was perfect to disconnect. The cabin had wifi so we were not totally cut off.

We had an awesome time. It was exactly what we needed for a getaway. The place was clean and very comfortable. We will be back for sure.

We loved our stay. The cabin is small. cozy cabin beautifully and appropriately decorated. Everything was provided for our 4 days. There are other cabins fairly close to Knotty Creek but luckily they were not rented, so we had peace and quiet. This was good for the time we spent in the hot tub. How wonderful that was! Very relaxing and you could hear the flow of the creek while in the hot tub. Pretty Cool. A minor complaint is the only bathroom is downstairs while the 2 bedrooms are upstairs. This was inconvenient in the middle of the night. We were about 15 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge and enjoyed eating at the restaurants and window shopping in the quaint shops. We would recommend this cabin and this property management to anyone who wants to have a great time away in a log cabin.

This was a beautiful cabin. We loved our stay here. We visited two different hiking trails nearby and went into Blue Ridge. Overall the property was well kept. The actual cabin was very nice. We will be back.

This cabin was very well kept and perfect for two. We loved the wood-burning fireplace and the hot tub, but the best part was being able to hear the babbling brook just beyond the backyard fire pit.

My husband and I stayed at this cabin right after we got married. It was very clean, the hot tub was warm and relaxing and my husband enjoyed fishing in the stream. We will definitely be coming back! The customer service was excellent when I called to book the cabin.

The cabin was cozy ad had everything we needed to stay in for the weekend! the bed in the upstairs bedroom was not the comfiest but overall it was a great cabin with a beautiful view!

This was a great place to get away. bed linens needed updating. Otherwise, a picturesque getaway that is close enough to town, but remote enough to be unplugged
