Blue Ridge Bliss

Pictures accurately describe the place! I had an issue with the AC and it was fixed within an hour! I loved the place, location, view! We will definitely come back!

The cabin was very nice and served all of our needs. We loved playing pool and pinball and the the beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed and the living areas were comfortable. The cabin itself is beautiful. We really liked the screened in porch area as well. The road to get there is an adventure but fun. Even though there are lots of houses in close proximity, you still feel very secluded. The town of Blue Ridge has lots of things to do and we enjoyed some scenic drives of the area. If you are looking for a cabin with a true mountain view, this is probably not the cabin you would want. The pictures fooled us a tad. Really the only view out this cabin has is from the small third floor deck of the bedroom and even it doesn't really let you see much. On the third floor pool room area there is a bit of a view of some far off mountains. The downstairs television and one other one other smaller bedroom television didn't work. Not a big deal.

I had a wonderful stay over the long weekend. The cabin was exactly as described clean, peaceful, and tucked deep in the woods with plenty of nature all around. It felt private and relaxing, yet still close enough to all the attractions the Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer. I’d happily stay here again.

Our family had an absolutely incredible time. The home was perfectly appointed and an amazing way to disconnect and enjoy time as a family in nature. There was plenty to keep everyone entertained during downtime and nights on the hot tub and down by the fire were just what we needed. Would definitely recommend this home for any family or any group getaway.

Amazing house

We had a lovely time. The cabin is about 20 min from downtown Blue Ridge. It is a cozy and well kept cabin indeed. Some nice touches like a game room, stainless steel appliances, a 4 k tv with a surround sound system…I do recommend you have a truck or SUV with 4 wheel drive as parts of the drive into the cabin are steep and unpaved. Thank you for a really nice holiday vacation for our family.

Great accommodations and a plus that everybody had a bedroom and bathroom on their own floor. Used the firepit three out of the four nights there. Would go back again but next time with an AWD vehicle just to be sure.

Beautiful private cabin right outside of Blue Ridge. The views were gorgeous!!! Our favorite part was the hot tub on the second story deck. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which is really nice. The outdoor fire place in the screened in porch is perfect for visiting this cabin during the fall/winter months. Make sure your vehicle has AWD capabilities. This cabin is a little bit difficult to get to, especially at night. It requires traversing a close to 2 mile winding unpaved road. At certain points, the road is very steep and is only wide enough for one vehicle. Other than that, I would certainly recommend staying here!

It was nice

My husband and I stayed here with our 3 kids and dog. We loved the home! Plenty of stuff for the kids to do to stay entertained. The pool table upstairs is where we stayed the most due to my kids loving the game of pool. The hot tub was clean and we all enjoyed it. We enjoyed eating breakfast and just relaxing on the balcony. It rained one afternoon during our stay and the screened in porch on the side with the tv was a perfect place to sit and enjoy the sound of the rain. We were 10 minutes away from lake blue ridge recreation center which is where we spent most of our days there swimming. The cabin was perfect and cozy! The only issues we had was the road to get to the cabin. In 2 spots it was really rough, one where it looks like water washed through it and the other that was really bumpy getting up the hill. But I would highly recommend this cabin to anybody. We will be renting from them again in the future!

We're so glad we found CFY. We stayed in Blue Ridge Bliss for a week and loved every minute of it. We're missing Blue Ridge already and looking forward to next year.

This was our second time staying at Bliss! We will be back.

Great stay! Place was as advertised. There were a few minor issues that we communicated to the owner, but nothing overly concerning. Central location and sunset views were wonderful. Beds were large and comfortable. Three push button fireplaces were easy to use (although one went out and we couldn’t turn it back on). Enjoyed the pool table and foosball table, but disappointed that the pinball machine was broken. Cabin is at the end of a long gravel road with a couple of steep inclines; would definitely recommend a 4x4, especially in winter, as I think it would be challenging to travel on when iced over. All that said, we enjoyed our stay immensely and would stay there again without hesitation.

Everything was Great. Plenty of room for everyone. Only complaints were the pinball machine was broken and the road to the cabin had a washout. We would definitely rent again.

The cabin offers a great secluded experience for anyone who wants to get away. We enjoyed the space and loved how close it was to town and things to do when we wanted to get out. Do the most part it was a clean organized space. My only complaint was the upstairs bed was full of dog hair. When I sat son on it my clothes were covered in hair. I was aware that the cabin is “pet friendly” so I assumed it was missed during clean-up. I looked for more bedding, but there wasn’t any. When I called, they said they would bring some the following day because it was late in the day (around 6pm). I slept on the couch for the night. The next day at 5pm, the new bedding still had not arrived and I had to call again. They explained that the system had a glitch and they hadn’t received notification to bring the bedding. I explained I didn’t want to sleep on the couch again, and they sent someone with clean bedding about and hour later. Other than this, my stay was almost perfect.

Nice cabin. But pay attention to what cabin you book because there are 2 Blue Ridge Bliss cabins on 2 different websites. So make sure you know what you are booking. The place was clean and very nice overall. I would recommend it and would definitely return. Didn't give it 5 stars because of the parking. If you have 2 vehicles it'll be a little tricky getting in and out.

We love Bliss and this was our 2nd time at the cabin.There were 2 issues: The grill didn’t have a propane tank and the pin ball machine was broken. Otherwise, we did enjoy our stay.

The cabin itself is beautiful and serene. The hot tub, etc was all very clean. We took advantage of the fire pit too. Really beautiful place and nearby to Mercier Orchards, downtown Blue Ridge, etc. so plenty to do! A couple of cons- We had an issue with noise with the neighboring cabin playing loud music, but not the fault of the host. When they say AWD required to access the place, they mean it- we were in an AWD SUV and still struggled. Easy enough to get to, but making it back up the street left us spinning out for about 10 min on the gravel cratered hill. So seriously consider the car before booking. The host does warn of this.

Nice place. There were only 2 of us so we didn't use the upper or lower bedrooms. Made for an easy clean up. It took almost 24 hours for the refrigerator to get cold even though the freezer was very cold and it was on high temp when we got there. Very little cold air blowing down into the refrigerator compartment from the freezer even though the fan was blowing well. It was 95 degrees when we got there and the hot tub was set on 100 degrees. I turned it down below ambient temperature and it cooled down over night. I suggest you don't leave it on 100 degrees when it's so hot outside.

It's a cute Cain but the porches were very dirty with pollen and spider webs. Every one of them. The garbage was also full of trash outside so probably wouldn't stay there again because I would like clean porches. I font think they have been cleaned in months

This house is a very pretty home and is a great place to stay if you are hoping to be in the woods. With that said, if you were looking for a true Mountain View and a location that is going to make you feel as though you were in the mountains I would not recommend this location for the price. The house was fairly well equipped, but hoping to be able to sit on the porch and feel as though we were truly in the mountains with a beautiful view Made it disappointing when we found that it was more so in the woods with a view of a pasture with white fencing. From the very top floor you can see the mountains very very far in the distance, but you are not going to be sitting on the porch experiencing that same view. Just something to consider. The hot tub was not functioning while we were there, so continually dropped in temperature and back porch pilot light continually went out. Again, beautiful home and overall good amenities, just felt it was a misrepresentation as far as the location.

This Cabin has had more little petty stuff wrong with it. Lights not working. I replaced several lightbulbs myself. Dirty. Found a propane ticket on top of the refrigerator from January. A lot of dust so nobody’s even bothered to touch it to clean it or anything. Hot tub jets don’t work. None of them. Screen door has screws missing going out to grill. Almost takes door off. Not much for cookware. Better off coking on tinfoil. Red couch on bottom floor is so dingy you don’t want your head to touch it. Kitchen faucet is finicky the way you have to do it so water quits dripping. Have the door knobs kind of Janky hard to work to get open twist, pull/push, jiggle, etc. burners on the grill rusted out need to be replaced or replace the grill had problems getting it to light ended up doing it manually. Love the location love the spot the cabin it’s either owners are cheap. Property managers are cheap or contractors being hired to do the jobs aren’t doing their job. I don’t know but it’s a big disappointment. People today do not care about quality. CHEAP AND GREEDY. The cabin is actually the best location/setting I have stayed at. Te staff were very nice and helped us out in a big way by finding us another cabin so we could stay a couple extra days. Office staff customer service-SPOT ON. I want to thank them for getting us in Cardinal’s Crossing.

I wish I could give this cabin a 5 star.... It has its merits for sure and the service by GC4U was excellent... but there were some big misses too. The positives: its spacious, the furniture is of nice quality and the beds are comfortable. The view is nice. The hot water is so hot it is dangerous if your not paying attention. And the adjustments are not right so its hard to get it hot not scalding or ice in the kitchen and the master. Alot of things at this cabin are broken or dont work. The fence outside is broken and hangs into the driveway. The outdoor fireplace will not remain lit if you can get it lit. The master tv dtv box is stuck in a reboot loop and will not work (after working fine for 1 day it wouldnt work the remaining 7),the bathroom heater does not work in the master, the main floor bedroom exterior doors do not lock and latch properly and can be pulled open, the pinball machine was out of order, alot of the blinds are damaged and some dont have the twister rod to open them, the down stair sofa is stained up and there was dried white flaky goo on several spots on some cushions, the kitchen floor was filthy and needs a heavy mopping (not a swiffer) the dishwasher had melted plastic in the base heat element and no cover on the additive port, the instructions required us to wash towles before leaving but no detergent was provided, the downstairs fireplace has no instructions and produced an unusually loud propane smell when turned on so we didnt use it. the carpets are dirty, there was black sticky tar like glue on the carpet going down stairs that got all over our socks - i cleaned up what i could to prevent spreading it in the house. THe trash was overflowing full on arrival and was not emptied until we had been there for a bout 4 days so we couldn take our trash out. We encountered and killed 5 wolf spiders in the downstairs level. These spiders were 2 to 3 inches in diameter. Normally bugs happen but with the doors having poor seals and large gaps this cabin doesnt make much effort to keep them out. The downstairs level go little to no heat from the heater and extra blankets were needed. The comfortors in the main level and lower level are summer duvets and with tempts in the 20s they arent enough. All in all we had a nice visit. We were just really not thrilled with the beating this cabin is taking from the renters and the need of repairs.

The road to Blue Ridge Bliss is in poor condition, easy to get stuck. The place is old, not what we thought it would be. I do not recommend Blue Bliss.

When we looked this cabin up it said motorcycle friendly this cabin is not motorcycle friendly there is about 2 miles of gravel on the way in and out me and another lady had to walk up a gravel hill everything we would try to go out and I have asthma one of the people that was with us dropped his bike and it now has to be painted took three men to get the bike up if you have a motorcycle this is not the cabin to stay at once we made it to the cabin it was beautiful there was spiders inside and only one jet worked in the tub upstairs once we helped our friend back out he just went home because did not want to try that road again
