Pursuit of Happiness is a peaceful 3-bedroom, 3-bath, pet-friendly cabin rental on more than 2.5 acres. Follow the private canopied road that winds up to this secluded mountain vacation home. The first thing you will notice as you step onto the wraparound porch is the outdoor fireplace, a cozy spot to sit and enjoy the serene mountain setting. The cabin’s inviting open floorplan has a living room with a cathedral ceiling and a wood-burning fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, and a comfortable dining area that seats 6 people. This provides a wonderful setting to gather and enjoy each other’s company.
The living room of your vacation rental features a 55” QLED flatscreen TV with a full array of satellite channels including sports, movies and music, DVR, a Blu-ray player, and a dedicated HDMI connection for your device. A large screened porch with a cozy swing and comfortable outdoor furnishings beckons you to enjoy beautiful sunrises, sunsets, and mountain views – or take a refreshing nap in the clean mountain air.
The main level bedroom at this cozy hideaway offers a queen bed, a TV with a satellite receiver, and an adjoining bathroom with a double vanity and granite top. The upper level offers a king bedroom suite with a TV and satellite receiver, a large walk-in shower, and another double vanity and granite top. This bedroom also features a private balcony with an even better view of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
The adjoining loft in your beautiful mountain retreat has two twin daybeds and an area for playing cards or one of the many board games provided. The third bedroom, located in the newly finished basement, features another king-size bedroom suite, a private full bath with a tiled walk-in shower, a TV/satellite receiver, and access to another screened porch area where the hot tub is located. Between the bathrooms, there are 2 walk-in showers plus 1 shower/tub combo.
Pursuit of Happiness’s piece de resistance, also located downstairs, is the comfortably furnished theater room featuring a 75” 4K TV with a satellite receiver and a premium surround sound system. A DVD library of over 300 titles is available, and an HDMI hookup is provided for your gaming system. This room is equipped with a wet bar and mini fridge for your convenience. The custom live edge countertops and entertainment center provide an interesting balance of rustic and modern atmosphere. This room also has access to the lower screened porch where you will find a 6-person deluxe hot tub to soak away your worries, relax, and unwind.
Pursuit of Happiness offers DSL Wi-Fi (please note: while this service is high speed, it does not offer a high-end bandwidth that allows numerous guests to access at the same time), a full channel lineup, and independent DVR access from all TVs.
Outside, enjoy a gas grill on the main level deck, lots of outdoor lounging, and an outdoor dining area overlooking the mountain range. While Pursuit of Happiness is private and secluded, you are just minutes from Blue Ridge, McCaysville, and Murphy, NC, which offer a wide variety of local activities, including shopping and dining in downtown Blue Ridge, hiking, whitewater rafting, waterfalls, the Aska Adventure Area, excellent fishing and boating on the 3 area lakes, casinos, wineries, horseback riding, Ellijay, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, and more.
Whatever your Pursuit of Happiness – a relaxing getaway or access to the many nearby attractions – you will want to return again and again to the North Georgia mountains. Pets are welcome with additional fees.

Very clean property that was very well appointed
Very clean property that was very well appointed. Three couples stayed at the properly and all were amazed at location and the nice touches. The only complaint would be the size of the kitchen. It was very small and really could be only be occupied by a single cook.
Lovely, Homey Cabin
The pictures aren’t modified; it is exactly how amazing the cabin looks, the views are gorgeous and the cabin is about 1.5 miles away from the North Carolina border. Hot tub is big enough for about 8 people. I will say the phone maps lead you elsewhere. The right turn off Spur 60 is very sharp so slow down like 100 yards ahead of time. There is a lot of uphill climbs and steep descents down. The road starts off paved but goes to gravel. There is a sharp left on the gravel road as well. You don’t need a 4×4 or anything, just have to use caution and carry momentum. Ingles grocery store is about 20 minutes away. There is a dollar store about 5 minutes away. Bring your own firewood. As the directions state, I would not arrive after dark the first day and there is no cell signal on the way. Once you get to the cabin the WIFI works great!
We hated to leave!
We loved this beautiful cabin and hated to leave! There were 7 of us and the cabin was very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed playing games in the loft and watching movies on the big screen in the basement. Our favorite feature of the cabin was the screened in porch. There was plenty of room for all of us to sit out there and the outdoor was very comfortable. We enjoyed coffee and most meals out there. Our dog loved it as well, she could be out there with us and we didn’t have to worry about her. We will recommend to anyone we know wanting to make a trip to Blue Ridge.
