Everyone who comes to Blue Ridge Georgia is not only surprised how beautiful it is, but also how much there is to do here! In the peak seasons from July through October there are events just about every weekend, and many events in North Georgia during the week as well.
 

There are many special events for the fall as well as Christmas season too, however the events taking place around July 4th in Blue Ridge Georgia are epic! If you manage to find a time when there are no special event taking place in Blue Ridge Georgia, between the hiking, biking, rafting, fishing, horseback riding, shopping and so much more, every day in Blue RIdge is a special event!

Whitewater Rafting on the Ocoee River
If you are looking for fun and excitement then looking at a river with Class V rapids is just what you are looking for! For miles of rapids and adventure the Ocoee River is a white water rafting paradise.
 

Weekend Whitewater Rafting Trips start the Weekend of April 6th and starting May 25th trips run daily down the river. White water rafter is for those ages 12 and older.
 



Blue Ridge Mountain Adventure Race - April 13-14, 2016
This race as well as the course changes year to year. To give an idea of what to expect, in the past the race included mountain biking, running, trekking, kayaking, canoeing, rappelling, orienteering, wet river crossings and climbing and if all that is not enough, expect some mystery challenges!
 

The Blue Ridge Mountain Adventure Race Course takes place in Portions of the Benton MacKaye Trail, the Chattahoochee National Forest, the Rich Mountain Wildlife Management Area and Aska Adventure Area for the trails and for the water portion: the Toccoa River, Lake Blue Ridge, Cohutta Wildlife area and the Ocoee Whitewater Center.

37th Annual Arts in the Park Festival - May 28-29, 2016
This outdoor festival will be taking place in Downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia. This gathering of more than 200 booths of artists and their artwork, crafts and food booths has been recognized as one of the Top 20 Events by the Southeastern Tourism Society. Horseshoe Bend - Pickin' in the Park

Old Timers Day Parade Blue Ridge Georgia - July 4, 2016

Escape to Blue Ridge Tri The Mountains Sprint Triathlon July 19, 2016
This is a fun and incredibly scenic race in the North GA Mountains where you first swim will be in the crystal clear waters of Lake Blue Ridge, the bike 18 mile out and back and finally the run will leave the Marina and head towards town on Old Hwy. 76.

As runners go though the Historic town of Blue Ridge they will be cheered until the contestants end up in front of the Gazebo while the Steele String Sessions Band is playing by the finish line. There will be both awards and an after party that will take place in the park in the center of town. For a day to remember put this in your schedule and see why Blue Ridge Georgia is becoming a triathlon mecca!

Tri-State Model Railroaders Open House August 15, 2016
What a fun way to learn about railroading and how it played such an important role in the development of the Tri-State area and the unique history of the restored brick depot. 45th Annual Oktoberfest - September 10-13, 2016
The longest running Oktoberfest in the United States takes place every fall from mid September into early November in Helen Georgia just an hour away from Blue Ridge Georgia.
 

This fun event take place in the Helen Georgia Festhalle with German style bands playing music on stage while you enjoy authentic Beer, Brats and other German favorites. Entrance is free on Sundays, $10 on Saturdays and $8 on weekdays.
 



5th annual Blue Ridge Blues and BBQ Festival - September 10-12, 2016

45th Annual Oktoberfest - September 17 to November 1 2016
The longest running Oktoberfest in the United States takes place every fall from mid September into early November in Helen Georgia just an hour away from Blue Ridge Georgia.

Ride the Rails Festival in Mineral Bluff - September 19-20, 2016
See the progress being made on our large "HO" gauge model railroad based on the ”Old Line” from Atlanta to Etowah, TN and through Mineral Bluff to Murphy, NC before you take a 5 mile round trip by railroad motor car traveling through the Iron Bridge over the beautiful Toccoa River, then returning over the bridge back to the beautiful and the historic Mineral Bluff Depot.

The 5th Annual Blue Ridge Mountains Marching Festival starts at 1 pm and continues throughout the afternoon and evening until 9:30 pm.
