Don't forget to tame that sweet tooth craving with our Most Famous Sweet Shoppe of the South located in the Downtown area. They were the winners of the CupCake Wars. They now have locations in Downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Three Sisters Fudge is another local favorite.

Top Ten Item #2: Hiking to our Beautiful Waterfalls

The Blue Ridge, Georgia area has many hiking and Biking Trails but there's a few that stands out to us locals. If you're looking for an inexpensive day of fun and endless beauty these hikes will give you just that!! For years we've been hiking our beautiful mountain trails but only recently did we find these amazing waterfalls. The fun doesn't stop at these 3 hikes. There's so many more and some you don't even have to hike. You can actually drive to Bald River Falls or Amicalola Falls. Or travel a bit North to Tallulah Gorge overlook and stop by Goats on the Roof for a quick Ice Cream and Souvenir shopping while actually watching, YES, You Guessed it!, Goats walk on the Roof!!!

Turtletown Falls in Turtletown, Tennessee is by far our most favorite family Hike. Here, you get a 2 for 1 experience. The Upper and Lower Falls is a easy 3 miles hike. Even the kids will love this one. Follow Turtletown Creek along this winding trail to see one of the most Breathtaking Double Falls around. The upper Falls are twin spills flowing into a swimming hole, perfect for a summer picnic or photo opt. Curve around the creek and follow to the Lower Falls where you'll find an Hour Glass Shape Waterfall spilling into the swimming hole below. Bring the kids, Bring the Dogs, Bring a Picnic!!!! This is one you'll keep coming back too every time you visit our Area.

Long Creek Falls of the Famous Aska Adventure Area in Blue Ridge, GA - As if driving out Aska Road isn't enough beauty for you, Following this quiet Path out FS RD 58 along the Noontootla Creek will simply amaze you. There's numerous small falls along the creek. The parking for the waterfall hike offers a great bridge for photos and this 1.5 mile easy hike is great for the whole family. You'll spy campers all along the hiking trail and the large rocks along the path and at the swimming hole for the falls make for very cool resting spots. When you leave this hike, you could even stop at the Famous, and newly rebuilt, Toccoa Riverside Restaurant, and have a Gourmet style lunch while marveling at the gorgeous waters of the Toccoa River.

Jack's River Falls - This is for the more adventurous hiker and you may not want to carry a kid on a backpack to this one. (We've tried it!! Not very easy!!) This 4.8 mile one way hike is well worth it but don't forget to pack a lunch and plenty of water. If you're hiking in the warmer months, definitely take a swimsuit!!! This trail begins in the Cohutta Wilderness area. It's a small path through the mountains with ups and downs that winds around to one of the most well known and fabulous waterfalls in our area.

Top Ten Item #3: Whitewater Rafting

If you've never experienced a Class 5 Rapid then you're missing out!!! The Ocoee River was home to the 1996 Olympics and is known all across the world. You can enjoy a 2 for 1 adventure by rafting the upper and lower river where you'll get the Full Olympic Experience. Don't worry though, the guides are top notch and trained to perfection. They'll make this wild trip seem like a breeze. You must be at least 12 years old for this day of fun!!! Be prepared to pick someone out of your group to ride the bull!!!! You'll also want to visit our Beautiful Rock Stacked Whitewater Center located on the river. It's a great souvenir shop or just a picturesque place to walk or bike. If someone in your party would rather sit this adventure out, there's several areas where they can stand and watch all the spills and thrills in the water!!
